Round 15: The Big Divide

Post by jcdc on Fri Jun 20, 2014 1:20 pm

Another week, another raft of teams on byes, injuries mounting, and whilst there is a long way to go in the season, the top 6 is on the cusp of being solidified already.

The OA's have been unlucky not to post a victory over two top teams in the last fortnight, whilst the Merks, for all of their hard work on the player market, and stirring performances littered in, have struggled to make any more headway on the ladder.

The Alleynian have a good crack this week against a high-flying Hipsters team missing their two marquee players, whilst the Merks are playing the underperforming Drags, but don't seem to have picked a team..

LFB < Jaffas
Drags > Merks
Hams < Zoos
OA < Hipsters
Karruptas > Tractors

Well it looks as though the Tractors Jaffas and Dragons are about to say sayonara to the Merkins season.

The OA's are holding on though courtesy of Cam Smith's boot. Good showing from the Hipsters pack sans Sam B, but I will need something from my Knights contingent tomorrow.

Zooms looking in a little trouble against the Shams. Hipsters should be through barring double injuries or a sinbinning/send off.

Good to see Billy Slater hit some form Andreas - how far negative is your score at the moment, I can't even count.

phew! Tyrone gets benched, and loses the kicking tee to boot, but fortunately bags a try to seal it for the Hipsters.

Hoping the Jaffs can somehow hold on against the LFBs massive Cowboy contingent.

Fuck's sake, Knights get a win, but go soft near the end.

Jafs were an outside chance before Robert lui's soft try gave JT an easy kick. With Darius Boyd choosing this week to be stop being useless at club level, he's worth 2 points in the PPs at least.

Filthy, and don't get me started on Sosaia Feki being robbed of a couple of tries...

How the fuck did they award the 2nd Lui try! If I lose because of that conversion I want a federal investigation - check the refs phone for sipp's or Chris Cairns cell phone number

Timmah - how do you manage to pick your team this week and include people on byes but not joey Leilua - and don't get me started on Dave Taylor playing centre...

If that costs you the victory you'll only have yourself to blame.

PS - drags are killing it - 40 odd to negative plenty - that's a good help to the f/a

Well well well another night of Monday night footy and another close call for the lfb's! 34-31, Houston should get 2 Cat C's reducing the margin to 1.

A Houston upgrade, 32 a piece! The log is safe but I need a Darius PP to get me the important competition points.

50 to neg 11 with my 18th man picking up 4 pp points. What a hiding!

Drags jump from 6th to 3rd on the back of for and against and the Jaffs and Zooms going down.

Hipsters keep winning, even without Surgess - worrying signs!
