Round 8: The battle of the haves and have nots
Well, well, well, the moment has finally arrived. Time to honour PJ with a resounding home victory, and time to teach Jimbo a leason about playing with the big boys.
To be completely honest, I'm both shocked and impressed you're 7th Jimmy. 3 wins already, I would have thought that was your quota for 2014. I can't believe 3 teams are worse than you. In saying that, you certainly won't be adding to the win column this weekend.
Remember this:
Zillman: 4 games, 4 points
Lawrence: 8 games, 18 points
Injury or not, not exactly "pack" material is he?
And then there was this little gem of vitriol:
So now's your chance, and you're no where to be seen. I have a 4 day old baby, what's you're excuse? Perhaps you should spend a little less time packing Ben's fudge, and a little more time working on that pack thing, not that I'm still really sure what it is.
Jimbo, you're team is shit. There, I said it. I mean fuck me, your backline, the whole fucking thing, has scored 8 tries, and 10 PP points. GI isn't that far off that by himself... As for you're forward pack, I'll save you the indignity of a stats analysis, but remove Cam Smith from your squad, and there is barely a player I would even recruit. There is that Kevin Kingston guy too though eh? Bet you loved protecting him for about $120k a point. There's some solid coaching.
James, I'm not going to beat you this week. I'm going to break you down, attach velcro, and use you as a nappie on my baby girl's arse. Actually, scratch that, you're team isn't even good enough to touch her shit, let alone carry it.
Around the grounds:
All top 5 teams to win, except for Jasper and team Burgess.

The Old Al is a pack, we are prepared to give everything up to secure our integrity and our pride even to the detriment of existence. You, danny, you can just keep munching on your dry, trodden on grass until one day, one day danny... i will come for you you fucking prick deer.

That's some well researched resentment right there! Good shit Danny, fuck wasting time with new borns...
Cracks me up I lost last week and still moved to top of the table. It's time to put a rout in with my new superstars - feki and Mateo!
Oh, and is there a better bidding snake than the Zooms?

Nice thread Danny and good to see the shit start flying and your baby is only just back at the ranch.
I'll go easy on the dirt this post, it is ANZAC day and something we should all stand, brothers in arms, to think of the boys back in WW1 who were probably 10 years younger than us hanging up their league boots to go overseas and never come back. Now they were hard men.
I will say one thing though. I may not have a herd of individuals but I have a pack of quality players that have started down the road of momentum. TOA are primed and ready and as I write this, granted it's early in the weekend, it's a solid start. It will also be a good test, Cam Smith didnt turn up today and thus you'll get your wish to test your theory that my team only revolves around him.
Also, nice work on mocking me over the protected player choices - need i remind you Nick didnt leave me too much to play with but that's no excuse and neither is the trade for Zilman which your stats prove I was wrong.
All in all Danny, the onus is on you to win this one and currently you are not.... good luck and lest we forget.
around the grounds although it's a bit late but I would have gone with:
Drags
LFB
Zooms
Jaffs

At least Kingston got pulled, and Penrith lost.
Can't wait for the Doggies to smash Newcastle, and to take the lead.

Bellringer of a game between the Zoos and Hipsters.
I've left out two tries as well. Looks like your front row will roll over the top of me but it's not over yet

Hipsters playing some entertaining football!
Drags not setting the world on fire, but still hopeful with my Eagles and Raiders tomorrow and then the One man gang that is Pat Richards.
This is the first match of the season that I haven't had a semi contribution... Mu I blame your weird undercut thing
You still coming to Europe in June/July?

Strong showing by the haves and the zooms. Cracking game against the hipsters this week but Aaron woods first eight point effort of the year was enough to snuff out their late burst. Warriors on Friday as pretty sweet to. Bromwich v Lillyman was freaking epic. As was the post game boil up, cheers Mu!

Re: Round 8: The battle of the haves and have nots
yes just too much from the Zoos front row, I needed your guys to keep quiet on Sunday and that didn't happen.
Still, a pretty good showing from the Hipsters, who nonetheless are facing dark times, with Maloney and Waqa added to the cataclysmic injury pile-up. I've now lost my ENTIRE first-choice backline to injury or suspension in just eight rounds, which is quite frankly ridiculous.

Karruptas concede six-tries in one game to give up a tight affair they had held the upper-hand for. Is it 2015 yet?

17 points from Hiku - 17 points the margin of victory. By the way wasn't that the wing that Wolfman was named to play on? Oh shit... Thanks Geoff Toovey you are doing wonders at the Dragons.

full credit Danny. Your herd munched on that stadium produced grass while TOA simply didn't turn up...The weekend break can't come soon enough for TOA.
Still, following a freshen up this weekend, there is no better way to welcome the Drags to the East Dulwich hood than a reminder of who was here first this... north london scum.

so the only thing you've got is that you ripped me off on a trade, effectively admitting liability to deceive... you'll pay actionman. Especially if I am helping lift things when you move house, i am not as strong as i once was and could very easily drop things.
