I vote No for resignation.

However - I think this the SHB should enforce that the trade be reversed.

Regardless of Ben's spin doctoring, this is the most unbalanced trade in SHB history. It is clearly a combination of James' lack of knowledge of recent NRL form, and Ben taking advantage of it. I have no problem with trades as a concept. There are good trades and bad trades, good deals and bad deals, and sometimes people get screwed.

But this is akin to roundhouse kicking a cripple in the dick, and then stealing his fancy automated wheelchair.

We have gone to great lengths to ensure an equitable draft system, lots of whining about sticking to the rules during the draft. However this is immediately undermined when trades this unbalanced are allowed to take place.

I vote that the remaining SHB act as trade advisory board, and step in to overturn this trade. It is clearly not beneficial for James' team. HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TWO PROPS ANY MORE.

The comp is better with the Old Alleynian in it, and it's unfortunate to have to suggest this kind of hand-holding, but it's even more unfortunate when teams gain an unfair advantage by combing over someone else's squad and cherrypicking their players.

I did it once, it was called the Voltron, and you all lost your shit over it.

Show some consistency, and vote to force this trade be revoked.

Let's not get dramatic here. Nobody is resigning, however the trade must be reversed. Agree with the comments above, the young and impressionable must be protected. Ben shame on you!! Now reverse the trade and let's move on

I vote no - James stays but yes - James learns to stand on his own two feet and stop blindly following Actionman down a dark and dingy alleyway.

You're supposed to be part of the (territorial) army and a businessman. Think long term fella. You've poked yourself in a key forward position and gained in an area you'll probably be ok in within the next few weeks.

You're a fucking communist jasper.. Let the free market be... Free.

If James wants to make a request for a trade I will accept it no-one else.

Like I said, I'm actually all for the player market and trades - being able to manipulate it is part of the skill of a good coach.

HOWEVER

This is actually an issue with the draft.

The point of the draft is equitable access to the game's top players.

When one coach trades away his first-choice player, fit and healthy, before a single game has even been played, it completely undermines the system, and can only be interpreted as collusion, given how unbalanced the offer is.

We can't even sell our draft picks yet, even if they pick up a season-ender this weekend.

The trade must be reversed.

Science has proven that markets work best with some regulation, otherwise powerful interests try to manipulate it for their own gain.
Case in point, reverse the trade.
